So I have the XSI and now the next step to care for the baby is to get a excellent bag. Requirements
1) That it is Tough (able to take the weather, bumps and scratches)
2) Huge (but the right size to hold some extra gear and not overwhelm the bag)
3) OEM is always nice
4) Affordable
5) Akin to other top notch bags in terms of design and gathering.
The bag is just darn nice. XSI sits in the middle confined with lens on, extra lens and array are there, even got the wife's point and shoot Canon along for the ride. There is room for the flash later and bonus tripod straps for serious work. Heck for this price and a free array! One word... DEAL! Thanks

| I bought this bag to store, carry, and care for my Rebel XSi. The extra array and filter were just icing on the cake, since the bag was really what I was after. I like that the sections are all comes off and you can make to order how you want the dividers set up. I have my camera body, two lenses, all the instruction manuals, lens pen, extra array and chargers, usb cables, usb card reader, photo tips book, and all my extra memory cards in it. There is still room for my P&S and two more lenses or one lens and a flash. The bag is exact and will grow with me as I add more accessories next Christmas! I also like the fact that there are tripod straps on the front for when I get a tripod, and the bag zips so nothing will accidently fall out. Padding seems adequate and I know my precious camera is safe. It took several weeks to arrive since it was out of stock, but it was really worth the wait! |

Im baffled by how no one has not only mentioned, but in fact thought they received a 200-DG bag in this kit. After doing some thorough research, this kit looked to be a steal with a canon array, a $17 filter, and come with a 200-DG bag (as listed on their description). After reading a number of reviews on how people were satisfied with their buys, and what a steal of a deal it was (most people who bought this kit left their reviews on the 200-DG page as they were only rating the bag), I pulled the trigger on this set. As the manufactured goods reached my door step yesterday, I was in for one hell of a bolt from the blue.
The array and the filter is just as described. But I believe most people who bought this kit, like me, expected the 200-DG bag to come along with it which, it is not. Upon further investigation, I learned that I could not even compare this bag to the 200-DG bag because it is not sold separately. This bag was made for this kit only. Since there was only one picture available on amazon for this manufactured goods, I couldn't get a close look at the bag through the picture since it is showing several items at the same time. But if you look very very carefully, you can see through the bundle picture that it is drastically different than the 200-DG bag.
Some of the notable differences linking the 2 bags:
200-DG uses metal buckles and rings while the bag included in this kit uses plastic
The build quality and the materials used to hypothesis the bag looks to be a lot better on the 200-DG
The bag in this kit uses a zipper top. The 200-DG uses velcro
The 200-DG bag, according to the dimensions provided by amazon (I inveterate it on the canon website) is in fact less vital than the rebel bag based on my measurements.
Since there are no manufactured goods description for the size of this bag, I'll list it here as well.
200-DG Exterior Dimensions 10.5 x 7.5 x 7 inches (WxHxD)
Rebel Bag Exterior Dimensions 14 (including protruding exterior pockets, 12 not including) x 7.5 x 9 inches (WxHxD)
Very bowled over to find that this bag is in fact a small larger, given that the 200-DG bag seems to be much bulkier in the pictures. Overall, it is still a excellent bag, and will fit a camera base + 4 lenses and plenty of pockets here and there to store a plethora of other things. My thought is that this is probably more of a $35-$40 bag, so you would be paying an extra $35 for the addendum of the array and the UV protectors. It's not a terrible deal still if you needed all three of these things, but it is a much different deal than the advertised $56 bag plus a array and UV protectors for an extra $20.
I gave this canon kit 5 stars because it is still a excellent manufactured goods, and I didn't want to give it a terrible rating because of Amazons mistake in the manufactured goods description which would be unjust for canon. Hopefully upon reading this review, it will help all make a more informative hold. |

I bought this as a Christmas present to go with my husband's new Digital Canon Rebel XS camera (I splurged this year!). This was the best price I could find - and I searched for a while considering what I spent on the camera! Amazon's price even beat out Wal-Mart, and Amazon has quick & free shipping too!
The case is nice and large. It fits the camera, 3 lenses, the manual, filters, and extra batteries. I really couldn't question for much more...plus, I knew that my husband would like a bag that stated "Canon" on it versus a generic brand camera bag.
Overall, you get an brilliant deal with this starter kit (best part is the extra array which can cost $50+ alone) - I urge it for all who has a Canon Rebel. |
Brilliant Value!!!!!
